Equipment doesn't work... Link to this post

Well, I bought the app and the receiver and the chest strap heart rate monitor, and then a second one too but sadly the receiver doesn't register on the iphone except for a second at a time and that only occasionally. Tried changing the battery in the chest strap but no change. And thats with the iphone held next to the chest strap. All very disappointing.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for the personal support given. Looks like the issue was probably the chest strap not connecting with the receiver - either because the iphone jack socket had dirt in (cleaned out with compressed air) - or possibly because the chest strap wasn't activating when put on.

Still not working 100%of the time but I am going to try some water based gel on the chest strap next and see what happens....

    Mine isn't working either!

As I'm waiting for my iPad to arrive, I am trying it with my iTouch.

I sent a message yesterday - but no reply as yet and I'm keen to get started!!

Since sending my message yesterday, I have now tried the receiver with my Polar strap (which works fine with my Polar watch).

Have also deleted and re-installed the app.

But still not working! Pulse etc at the top remains red and nothing happens when I hit the start button!

    Help... please!!

Have sent a replacement receiver as as agreed, just in case the original one was damaged somehow.
Hope this gets you up & running!

Just got the ithlete, bought it last week online. it works on the ithlete HRM app, but it only worked once on the other ithlete app, which is the reason why I bought it. Any ideas?

We had a customer once with a similar problem, and rebooting their phone (ie switching it off completely using the sleep button at the top) and then switching on again cured it.

I had issues with equipment when I first bought ithlete.

I got another receiver, cleaned out ports, tried different straps and replaced jack point all with no success.

It turned out the problem was an issue with the app running on the iphone 3G. When the lungs were breathing it wasn't smooth, it was staggered and all juddery.

The only cure for me was to get an ipod touch which cured the problem
