ithlete is compatible with all versions of the iPhone (3G and later) and the iPod touch (second generation or later). ithlete is now also available for Android phones.

Countdown in progress during 1 minute measure. Breathing in time with lung animation helps relax you and create consistent measurement conditions.	Chart view shows daily reading together with trends. Amber lines show impact of intense sessions, overall trend shows heavy training load.	Chart timescale can be switched to show more or less detail. Here you can see steady upward progress during a recovery week. All indications green!	Edit view allows management of readings including deletion and emailing complete database in spreadsheet format for inclusion in training log or to your coach.

3. ithlete ECG Receiver

The ithlete ECG receiver is a small piece of hardware that picks up the signal from your heart rate monitor chest strap.

It plugs into the headset jack of your Apple or Android phone (located top left or top right) or iPod touch (located bottom right). It picks up the wireless signal from your chest strap (see below), and allows the time gaps between your individual heart beats to be measured very precisely by the ithlete app.

You do not need the ECG receiver to be attached when you review your results & progress in the Chart view or Edit view.

4. Chest Strap

The ithlete ECG receiver is compatible with a wide range of analog chest strap models, in fact nearly all models that work with gym cardio equipment.
